Abbey's Strength and Spirit Shine Through as she Battles Leukemia

Abbey was initially diagnosed with a viral infection, but a second opinion at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital revealed she had T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia and needed immediate treatment. Nearly a year later, she is in the maintenance phase and back to enjoying first grade, tennis, and pranking her parents.

enero 26, 2026 – At only seven years old, Megan underwent aggressive cancer treatment that included infusions and chemotherapy and lasted about two years.

septiembre 16, 2025 – In recognition of Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, this issue of the Research Rundown is dedicated to the incredible advances in cancer treatment through research. The Nicklaus Children's Research Institute (NCRI) with the Helen & Jacob Shaham Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute have more than 30 studies that are actively recruiting new subjects.
